“I came across two support workers that work for Aegis Care in my role as a clinical nurse specialist. They had come to see their client whilst she was in hospital as she sadly didn’t have any family or friends and the support workers had become very important to their client. It was very important for the client’s mental health to still have the connection with her carers, being in hospital can be a very scary place.

I feel they went above and beyond in ensuring the hospital staff had all the right information in order to ensure a safe discharge home. They supported the client in getting an update on her condition and advocating alongside hospital staff in making an informed choice for ongoing treatment. We as hospital staff were given important and invaluable information to ensure the client receiving the best care on discharge. Well done.”
